Batik is a method of decorating textiles through dye resistance, in which designs are created by preventing specific parts of a textile from being exposed to the dye.
The traditional method of using Batik requires the use of melted hot wax with a mix of paraffin wax or beeswax and Tjanting/canting or copper block stamp. Once the fabric has been dyed, it needs to be dipped in boiling water to remove the wax.
